Kim entered the gaming industry with NCsoft, a Korean game company. After his time in NCsoft, he was appointed as a Korean board member of the Japanese game company SEGA, where he served for over a decade.
 
Since then, he established VISION VR to create patent technologies for immersive VR experiences, including virtual concerts and interactive experiences on major platforms like KT, LGU+, and SONY PlayStation.
 
In 2021, the company merged and was acquired by Lotte Group to develop a hyper-immersive metaverse. Now, it is CALIVERSE that bridges the digital and real world, supporting multiple devices such as PC, VR, and 3D TV. 

CALIVERSE received acclaimed reviews for the outstanding quality and its playable demonstration at Metaverse Expo 2023, Korean Blockchain Week 2023 and CES 2022, 2023 and 2024.
