Jumpei Miwa had taken the several senior roles in the Financial Services Agency until 2021 where he served as the Assistant Commissioner and the Director of the FinTech Innovation Office etc. He is a founder of BGIN (Blockchain Governance Initiative NW), an international organization on blockchain governance matters established during his tenure at the FSA, and is still involved in its activities today. He is currently working for the SaaS business in the Recruit Co. Ltd as Senior Expert and also serves as the CEO of Kunitachi Liberal Arts Inc., Independent Board member of the justInCase (an insurtech start-up) and the Director, FinTech Association of Japan (web3 and insurtech). He is also engaged in educational activities, such as lecturing on "Decentralized Financial Systems and its Economics" at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Institute for Liberal Arts Research and Education that highlights the emerging issues on decentralization and autonomy in the financial system.
