Driven by a deep belief that digital-asset innovation must be matched with strong safeguards, June has dedicated her work to building systems that keep markets safe from bad actors. Her commitment to responsible innovation and financial-crime prevention led her to join Elliptic as APAC Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs, where she works at the intersection of technology, regulation, and public-sector trust.
June Lau has led APAC-wide compliance and regulatory strategy across global financial institutions, most recently as Head of APAC Compliance at State Street, where she strengthened the region’s culture of compliance, risk management, and regulatory alignment while serving as Principal Compliance and AML Officer for State Street International Holdings and sitting on the APAC Executive Committee. Her career spans two tenures at State Street supporting Global Markets, Global Services (including digital assets), Alternative Investment Solutions, and Global Exchange, as well as a period at BNP Paribas Securities Services leading Singapore Compliance and APAC Financial Crime Compliance. Earlier roles at the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Deloitte shaped her regulatory and advisory foundation, and she later served briefly as Chief Compliance Officer of a stablecoin issuer.
A Fellow of the International Compliance Association, June is an active regional voice in compliance and a trainee counsellor committed to bringing clarity, empathy, and integrity to people and organisations.
