Yusuke Shidara founded The New Economy (Atarashii Keizai), a blockchain and cryptocurrency-focused media platform published by Gentosha. At Gentosha, he has been responsible for the company’s digital publishing business and new business development initiatives within the Content Business Division. He also serves as a Director of Gentosha Comics.

Shidara is a Board Member of the Fukuoka Blockchain Alliance and a member of the Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Council for New Industry Creation in Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

As a podcaster, he hosts and produces several programs, including the Amazon Audible Original series Minna no Mentor Room (“Everyone’s Mentor Room”), as well as Web3-focused podcasts such as EXODUS and The New Economy News, distributed on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. He also hosts business-oriented programs including Niban Keiei, Podcast Soken, and Koreijo Hanasenaiyo.

In October 2025, he set a personal goal of becoming a professional bassist within two years and launched the YouTube series Kaishainga 2nende Purono Bassist Ni Naru (An Office Worker’s Journey to Becoming a Professional Bassist in Two Years).

He is the author of Choosing the Role of the “Tataminin Toiu Sentaku” (President Inc.).
