Profile
While studying at Meiji University, he passed the Japanese Certified Public Accountant examination with the highest score nationwide. He began his career at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC, where he was primarily engaged in accounting audits and segregated asset management audits for crypto asset exchange service providers, as well as smart contract analysis.
In May 2021, he joined Mercari, where he served as Accounting & Tax Manager, corporate planning member, and segregated asset management specialist at Mercoin. He contributed to the launch of Bitcoin trading services and NFT-related initiatives, while also working on the development and testing of internal accounting systems.
In February 2024, he joined Animoca Brands Japan as CFO, overseeing finance, corporate strategy, investment management, and overall back-office operations. He also led the launch of the company’s validator business and represented the company as a speaker at conferences in Japan and overseas.
In addition, as Secretary of the Tax Reform Working Group at the Japan Cryptoasset Business Association, he has been actively involved in initiatives to reform Japan’s crypto asset taxation system.
He has served in his current role since February 2026.
