Kazumoto Ohno, now based in Tokyo, lived in the US for 18 years until 1997, first as a student at Cornell University where he majored in chemistry after graduating from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies where he majored in American studies such as its politics, culture, history and contemporary literature and then as a journalist. He is known for his in-depth reporting style and has published numerous articles for major Japanese magazines as well as over 20 books, several of which are best-sellers. He has interviewed over a dozen Nobel laureates including Paul Krugman, Joseph Stiglitz and Jennifer Doudna. His themes run the whole gamut from international affairs, politics, economics to healthcare issues.
